Data Scientist

The project is to work within a team to develop a wine recommendation system that mimics a master sommelier's recommendation process. We are working with a team of master sommeliers to develop that model and an AI-based recommendation engine.

Position Description

This person will lead the design, implementation, and testing of the wine recommendation engine based on the input and guidance from the master sommelier and technology program management teams.

The candidate needs to have experience with

  • Data Science techniques for building recommendation engines
  • Graphical database representation (e.g. Neo4j)
  • Big Data cloud computing environment
  • New data is coming in all the time to be added to the model
  • The model has to be designed to give accurate real-time recommendations

Skills

  • Python or Scala programming
  • Recommender techniques (Machine Learning Knowledge Representation and Deep Learning)
  • AWS Cloud Computing a plus
  • Neo4j programming is a plus
  • Wine recommendation system work a plus
  • Automated system testing experience a plus
